#4. Any surface the artist and you are likely to come into contact with needs to be covered with disposable plastic. This includes covering their:

  • wash bottles
  • machines
  • clip cords
  • and plastic over the work surface in the immediate tattooing area.

#5. Needles and ink should be disposable as well. Tubes should be sterilized in a medical-grade autoclave.

Now you are probably thinking to yourself this is a whole lot of work, 'I just want to get my new tattoo done.' But just think if you can make sure you avoid the pain of your new tattoo getting infected then it is had all been worthwhile.
