The Worst Tattoo Mistake - Being Drunk

The Worst Tattoo Mistake - Being Drunk

Getting a tattoo that is an ode to a lover

No matter how much you are in love with your current partner it pays not to be overly romantic. At the end of the day it does not matter how much you love this person the statistic tell the story. And the story says that just about every tattoo out there is going to outlast most of the relationships that inspired them - as much as we hate to say it.

And last but not least being impulsive

If anything, being drunk increases the chances of you being too impulsive at least 100 times. Tattoo's done as a spur of the moment kind of thing are one of the top type of tattoo's that end up getting removed. You probably would regret getting a tat of Taz flipping the bird and drinking a beer sometime after getting it. And besides all of the above if you are going to a good quality artist they probably won't give you a tat while you are drunk.

Your Dream Tattoo

Now you know what to avoid and what not to do you obviously need to know what do to, other wise nothing will happen. The obvious first step is to find your dream tattoo design, something that means a lot to you, so you be in love with it forever.

Tattoo Parlor Sanitation - How To Find The Right Parlor For You

Tattoo Parlor Sanitation - How To Find The Right Parlor For You

#4. Any surface the artist and you are likely to come into contact with needs to be covered with disposable plastic. This includes covering their:

  • wash bottles
  • machines
  • clip cords
  • and plastic over the work surface in the immediate tattooing area.

#5. Needles and ink should be disposable as well. Tubes should be sterilized in a medical-grade autoclave.

Now you are probably thinking to yourself this is a whole lot of work, 'I just want to get my new tattoo done.' But just think if you can make sure you avoid the pain of your new tattoo getting infected then it is had all been worthwhile.

As you probably know all of this can seem somewhat unimportant if you have not yet found your dream tattoo to get inked with. If you are still on the hunt for your dream tattoo then make sure you checkout our extensive tattoo galleries and see if there is anything you like.

How To Prepare For Your Day In The Chair

How To Prepare For Your Day In The Chair

Spend Some Time With Your Artist

As well as the above, spending the time working with your artist on your dream tattoo idea will also instill confidence that the artist understands the exact look you want and will be able to translate the image that you have in your head and apply it to your body in a way that will impress you and all your friends.

Collaboration

This is very much a collaborative process, not only do you need to suggest ideas and the original direction you also need to be open to the ideas that your artist will present that may take the tattoo in a slightly different direction but the end destination where the two of you will arrive will be so much better then where you might have gotten too on your own without some experienced guidance.

Have you found your dream tattoo or are you still looking for inspiration?

Make sure you checkout our extensive tattoo galleries and see if there is anything you like.
